Note: I didn't think this would cause any confusion. I was wrong. I just like the ring (from Blue Poppy, if you were wondering). I don't own the ring and I am currently "violently single." Any changes, and you'll be the first to know.
Also: The original text with this post was "Now I just need a man." But I don't know if I believe a man should be the one to buy the ring, even a diamond ring. Maybe I'll buy it for my right hand for my birthday (one month from tomorrow, in case you need to get shopping).

What do you want for your birthday? I have a couple of things, but I was thinking maybe money to buy something back there that you love. or maybe a microwave so you don't have to eat quite so much peanut butter.

i understood all that from the first one! and i feel so good about buying the ring for oneself. i really really want my georg jensen ring. and might have to get it for myself one of these days. or convince santa to or something.
Maybe you should get one for every finger on your right hand. Or maybe not. I must say I agree with your ambivalence about the engagement ring custom. (The whole diamond bit is partly a ploy by the DeBeers company anyway.)
